Angel Di Maria’s explicit reaction to PSG notching their 1st goal versus Manchester United this evening has been turning plenty of heads online.
Man United vs PSG
United welcomed French giants Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford tonight, for the first-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
The scintillating form of the Red Devils since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment, coupled with injuries to the likes of Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier, saw the hosts head into proceedings as clear favourites in the eyes of many.

PSG take over
However, what subsequently unfolded over the 90 minutes in Manchester this evening saw United’s bubble well and truly burst.
After a scrappy first-half which saw chances few and far between for either side, PSG showcased their class following the interval, with a stellar 45 minute-showing.
Presnel Kimpembe put the visitors in front with 53 minutes on the clock, arriving at the back post to slam Angel Di Maria’s corner into the roof of the net.
And PSG doubled their advantage just 7 minutes later, when creator Di Maria bagged his 2nd assist of the day with a perfectly-squared ball for Kylian Mbappe.
United huffed and puffed over the game’s remaining half-hour, but, for the most-part, struggled to break down a surprisingly resolute PSG backline, with the Red Devils set to have it all to do when they travel to the Parc des Princes in 3 weeks’ time.
Di Maria bites back
And on an altogether miserable night for the Manchester giants, adding insult to the home side’s defeat was the fact that Angel Di Maria, a former United player, set up both of PSG’s goals.
The Argentine, who enjoyed a hugely-frustrating stint at Old Trafford during the 2014-15 season, was the target of heavy boos and chanting throughout the 90 minutes, and also came in for some particularly-harsh treatment from Ashley Young.
And Di Maria’s pent-up emotions came very much to the fore during the celebrations for his side’s first goal this evening.
As showcased below, the 30-year-old made a beeline for United’s fans, before shouting profanities in the direction of the Red Devils’ faithful:
