DUBAI: Karachi Kings won the toss and opted to bat first against Multan Sultans in the second match of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) fourth edition.
The fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League began on Thursday night at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium with the match between defending champions Islamabad United and under-achievers Lahore Qalandars.
Today (Friday) is the second day of the tournament and two matches will be played during the day.
The first one will be played between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans while the second match will be contested by Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.
Though KK are the biggest and the most popular side in the PSL MS are also a balanced team.
KK have played all the three previous tournaments of the PSL while MS appeared for the first time in the 2018 edition.
The Kings have played 31 matches, won 12 and lost 18 while one match had no result. Their victory percentage is 40.
On the other side, the Sultans competed in one edition and played ten matches with 4 wins, 5 losses and one no result.
In the 2019 edition, both teams are looking equally good but the Kings have an edge over the Sultans as the most prolific scorer Babar Azam is playing for Karachi and is in good form.
Besides, fast bowlers Mohammad Amir and Usman Khan Shinwari are also included in KK.
All-rounders Wasim and Ravi Bopara are expected to perform better.
On the other side, the Multan Sultans have experienced all-rounders like Shahid Afridi and captain Shoaib Malik. They have a good battery of fast bowlers like Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan, and Mohammad Abbas. Opener Shan Masood is also there to provide a fine start.
However, the match is expected to be an exciting and interesting contest. Let’s see who will win the match.
