A wild crash on lap 159 of the Daytona 500 saw several cars spin down pit road.
The big loser: Seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, who saw the left side of his No. 48 Chevrolet destroyed in the melee.
The crash began when Cody Ware and B.J. McLeod collided as the two drivers prepared to pit. The two cars spun down pit road, and Ware slammed into Tyler Reddick’s Chevrolet. Reddick’s car then lifted off the ground and ripped off the left side of Johnson’s car.

The crash also damaged Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s Ford.
Stenouse and Reddick continued and stayed on the lead lap. Johnson was able to return to the track, but lost two laps.
