Johnson City, TN – 3-time NASCAR champion and co owner of Stewart-Hass racing Tony Stewart made a pit stop in Johnson City for the opening of Ollie’s bargain outlet.
Stewart, who retired a few seasons ago now owns the cars driven by Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick, Daniel Suarez and Aric Almirola.
Because of the accidents at Daytona this past weekend there highest finishing car was 20th, so he’s pleased to have what many felt was a successful Daytona 500 in the rear view mirror.
“(laughing) To be honest I want to forget Daytona it was like a natural disaster it was like a hurricane going through there so, I don’t think it’s a very good sign when you have 37 cars out of 40 crash in the race I don’t know how that’s a good thing but it’s just part of it.”
